The Eightfold Lairs of Xillenthia is finally out in paperback! I am so pleased with how it turned out. First of all the cover is a wrap-around, and is the original dimensions that the artist, my sister, painted it in. The e-book cover was resized and squished so it would fit on the cover, which also worked, making the mountains look higher and more forbidding, but this is how the artwork is supposed to look. And yes, they are mirror images- the e-book version is the original,
I was recently asked to share something about my newest book, The Eightfold Lairs of Xillenthia, with a private group, and I'd like to share my response.
Thank you! The road between writing and publishing is a long and difficult one, but the end is worth it. This book is one of my favorite works, and the first draft came from pure inspiration. The Eightfold Lairs of Xillenthia is darker and edgier than Tale of the Moone, and I was purposely vague on the worldbuilding to mai
It is done.
I still have to format it for the ebook (which thankfully is not as difficult as formatting it in print) and the cover needs a little bit of work. I'm aiming for the end of this month! #theeightfoldlairsofxillenthia #writing
Busy, busy. I was stuck for a little while, but now I'm trundling away nicely. The Eightfold Lairs of Xillenthia looks like it will be at least twice the length of Tale of the Moone, so I still have a long way to go. I'm aiming for a summer release. Hopefully I can stay on track, so keep your fingers crossed! #writing #theeightfoldlairsofxillenthia
I'm currently hard at work on The Eightfold Lairs of Xillenthia (shall we call it TELoX? I know the title is a bit of a mouthful) and am having a blast. This book remains one of my favorites, and unlike Tale of the Moone, which was worked on and updated continuously since I wrote it, this one hasn't been touched since I finished it. #theeightfoldlairsofxillenthia #writing
Happy anniversary to Tale of the Moone, which was published one year ago! The ebook is now available at a new lower price. Although at times it was rough and stressful (formatting woes, deciphering web design, and just trying to get a cover) overall it was a positive experience. Hopefully all I've learned will make the launch of my second book, The Eightfold Lairs of Xillenthia- if not a breeze, then at least considerably easier. Thank you for all your support :) #taleofthemo
