The Reading Life- October 2020
Happy Halloween! #thereadinglife

The Reading Life- August 2020
It's a running joke at my day job that I'm always reading a book on my breaks. I can't count how many people have told me they use reading to FALL asleep! I'm going to try and share a fun book pic or article at the end of every month. #thereadinglife

The Reading Life- July 2020
StartFragmentNot always. I look at some series that have over 15 books and just say nope. :)
Any really long series I read/ have read did not start out that way, and just grew (in many cases, too long) over time. -_-
I'm going to try and share a fun book pic or article at the end of every month. I somehow missed June (sorry!) but I did post a mini review of the movie Mary Shelley a couple of days ago. EndFragment #thereadinglife
Movie Watch: Mary Shelley
I finally was able to watch Mary Shelley, based on the young life of the author of Frankenstein. I've been wanting to see this for some time, as Frankenstein is one of my favorite books. I found the movie enjoyable enough, although the film focuses mostly on Mary's unconventional romantic relationship with Percy Shelley. For a movie about an author, there are very few scenes showing Mary writing or even struggling with her craft, and we have only the words of other characters

The Reading Life- April 2020
I thought this was very imaginative and clever.
I'm going to try and share a fun book pic or article at the end of every month. #thereadinglife

The Reading Life- March 2020
I have more than enough books to make several of these beds... I'm going to try and share a fun book pic or article at the end of every month. #thereadinglife

The Reading Life- February 2020
Ooh, a library! I'm going to try and share a fun book pic or article at the end of every month.
And what better day to start than February 29? :) #thereadinglife
Book Maker
And here I thought writing a book was difficult... https://www.facebook.com/LifeAndArtCollections/videos/1854978627943347/?hc_ref=ARSmGjWRDs9eYvrUBXsNlb7u9J8L-3SRY7_bfO-3J-Av16ue0dS8aMYzPydpV_Co580&fref=gs&dti=1030634586950793&hc_location=group #thereadinglife

An Unwelcome Surprise
Last night I was settling down to read an old favorite book that I haven't read in years. And then this happened: A few days later, showing this goof off yet again to everyone I know (as one does) I noticed it happened AGAIN. Apparently page 57 is the best page in the whole book. :) #thereadinglife
Movie Watch: The Man Who Invented Christmas
I recently watched "The Man Who Invented Christmas" about Charles Dickens writing of "A Christmas Carol" and I really enjoyed it. I especially loved the scenes where every time he's really getting into writing, the poor man was interrupted, either directly or by the commotion in his house. Yep, I can relate to that! Anyway, I highly recommend the movie. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UxcnYR3mcPU #thereadinglife
